QUESTION: Why does God not immediately end this world with all its sin
and rebellion?
ANSWER: God will accomplish it according to His timetable (I Peter 3:1-8). The
answer as to “why” He has not yet done it, is found in II peter 3:9: “The Lord is
not slack (tardy) concerning His promises, as some men count slackness
(tardiness), but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance.”
